BISACODIL / BISACODIL Description:
Bisacodyl in the form of suppositories is a laxative, cleansing medicinal product. Bisacodyl stimulates the peristalsis of the colon by direct action on the nerve endings of the intestinal mucosa. The product is used for short-term symptomatic treatment of constipation (constipation) with weakened tone and peristalsis of the colon, for cleansing the intestines before surgical or diagnostic procedures.
Dosage:
Short-term treatment of constipation
♦ Adults and children over 10 years: 1 suppository of 10 mg daily for immediate effect. ♦ Children from 2 to 10 years: 1 suppository of 5 mg daily for immediate effect. ♦ Children 10 years and younger with chronic constipation can be treated with bisacodyl only on prescription. * Bisacodyl should not be used in children under 2 years of age.
Composition:
• The active substance is bisacodyl 5 mg or 10 mg. • The other ingredients are: Migliol 812, solid fat.
Warnings: Do not use Bisacodyl suppositories if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or any of its other ingredients, or if you have acute abdominal pain (may be symptoms of a condition called "acute abdomen", which requires surgery). Do not use if you have rectal bleeding (fissures, fissures, hemorrhoids) as well as in acute enterocolitis (inflammation of the small and large intestines) and if you have an established tumor of the colon. Do not use for a long time (more than 5 days) in the event of an unclear cause of constipation (constipation). Prolonged and unjustified use of the product should be avoided. The product is used in cases where the hygiene and dietary measures taken (food rich in vegetables and fruits and increased physical activity) have not shown effectiveness. It should be used in children under 10 years of age only under medical supervision.
