Famotidine Sopharma is used to treat symptoms of acid reflux (return of stomach acid into the esophagus) such as: burning, heartburn, and pain behind the breastbone. Burning, heartburn and pain behind the breastbone may occur after eating or lying down, as well as after heavy physical work. Suitable for: Adults and children over 12 years of age. Always read the leaflet before use! Active ingredients: Famotidine 20 mg Dosage: Adults: Twice a day, 20 mg in the morning and evening, for 2 weeks. For children from 12 to 18 years of age: One tablet a day. Famotidine Sopharma tablets should be swallowed whole, with a little water. Warnings: Do not take if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or any of the other ingredients. Do not take this medicine if you have impaired liver and/or kidney function. Do not take Famotidine Sopharma during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not use this medicine in children under 12 years of age, due to lack of sufficient data on effectiveness and safety, do not use this medicinal product. If you are elderly or have had complications such as bleeding or ulcer when taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, you should consult a doctor before taking this medicine. If the symptoms have not passed after taking Famotidine Medica for two weeks, contact your doctor, as your symptoms may have another cause. In case of possible overdose, contact your doctor.
