HEPAROID ointment indications:
Dermatological, antithrombotic and anti-inflammatory agent (for the treatment of inflammation and post-traumatic conditions). Heparoid Zentiva limits blood clotting at the site of inflammation or contusion in trauma. It prevents the formation of blood clots, accelerates the dispersion of hemorrhages, reduces the appearance of swelling and has an anti-inflammatory effect. After the edema and hemorrhages have passed, the feeling of tension and pain at the site of inflammation or injury decreases. Heparoid Zentiva is intended for use by both adults and children from a very young age for the treatment of tendonitis, post-traumatic edema, contusions and sprains, to support the healing of scars after injuries or operations and soften hard and swollen scars; It can also be used, when recommended by a doctor, for the local treatment of inflammation of superficial veins, inflammation around veins, to soften hard skin in venous insufficiency. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, it can be used only after permission from a doctor.
Dosage and administration:
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, adults, adolescents and children apply an approximately 1 mm thick layer of ointment to the affected area and the surrounding area 2-3 times a day, rubbing it gently into the skin. In case of venous disease, a compression bandage can be applied. In case of large and painful bleeding, the area treated with the ointment can initially be covered with an airtight bandage, preferably at night.
