XYLOGEL gel 0.1% 10ml/XYLOGEL 0.1% 10 ml description: This product of the pharmaceutical company Warsaw Pharmaceutical Works Polfa is a medicinal product in the form of a nasal gel, which is used for the symptomatic treatment of acute or chronically aggravated sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, acute rhinitis of viral or bacterial origin, as well as acute inflammation of the middle ear - in order to restore the patency of the Eustachian tube. Xylometazoline is a derivative of imidazoline. Applied to the mucous membrane, it causes constriction of blood vessels, eliminates edema, reduces the amount of nasal secretion. The action begins 5-10 minutes after application and lasts up to 8 hours. The product is a colorless or almost colorless, transparent or slightly opalescent viscous liquid. Contents: 1 gram of gelactive substance: 1 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and auxiliary ingredients: sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate hydrate, disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sorbitol, benzalkonium chloride, disodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, hydroxyethylcellulose, glycerol, purified water.Xylogel is used for nasal administration (also for inflammation of the middle ear). The preparation is used in adults and children over 12 years of age. One spray from the dispenser pack contains 0.1 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride. Application: Children over 12 years of age and adults: One spray in each nostril every 8-10 hours. Usually, treatment should not exceed 3-5 days. Re-use should only be carried out if the application of the product has been interrupted for a period of several days. For hygiene reasons, one package should only be used by one patient. Before the first application from the package, after removing the protective cap, press the dispenser 3-5 times until the product appears in the tip. The tip of the tip is placed in the nostril.
