1. What is OCUflash® and what is it used for?
OCUflash® is a special eye (isotonic, buffered) solution containing as an additive extract of Euphrasia officinalis (eyebright). It is applied as eye drops or eye drops. The extract of Euphrasia officinalis (eyebright) acts on the eye as an anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictor. These properties of Euphrasia officinalis (eyebright) have long been used to soothe the eyes, for the prevention and maintenance treatment of non-infectious inflammations of the eyelids and conjunctiva.

2. What you need to know before using OCUflash®
OCUflash® should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
OCUflash® can be used in children and adults. Due to the high safety of the product, it can be used in newborns, infants, pregnant and lactating women.

If other ophthalmic products are applied simultaneously, an interval of at least 5 minutes must be observed after the application of OCUflash®.

3. How to use OCUflash®
OCUflash® eye solution is used to remove foreign particles from the eye. Without consulting an ophthalmologist, it can be used for short-term eye washing by instillation into the eye or as a compress on the eyelids. It is used for unpleasant sensations in the eye such as burning, stinging, itching and a feeling of a foreign body. OCUflash® can be used successfully for:

1. washing the eye after tonometry and gonioscopy,
2. washing the eye to remove foreign particles, dust, chlorinated water,
3. to remove residues of fluorescent solutions,
4. for washing away mucous and purulent secretions,
5. washing the eye after wearing hard contact lenses,
6. as first aid for mild erosion of the conjunctiva and eye from acids and bases (lime, mortar),
7. as an aid in some, in most cases non-infectious, inflammations of the conjunctiva and in chronic infections of conjunctivitis,
8. as a suitable means for removing cosmetic products from the eye area (eyelids and eyelashes).

To soothe irritated eyes and in cases of supportive treatment of non-infectious inflammations of the conjunctiva and eyelids, instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 1 to 4 times daily. To remove a foreign body from the eye, apply the solution until the foreign body is removed and the symptoms subside.

After opening, OCUflash® is ready for ocular administration. The patient should unscrew the protective cap, tilt their head back slightly, turn the bottle upside down and, by gently squeezing, release the prescribed number of drops into the lower conjunctival sac. The amount of solution used depends on the method of use. The patient instills or washes the eye with as much solution as necessary (the amount of solution released depends on the force of pressure on the bottle). In case of inflammation of the eyelids, the solution can be used to prepare compresses. During administration, the dropper should not touch the eye, eyelid or eyelashes. Finally, it is necessary to close the cap tightly to prevent possible contamination. The bottle should be stored in an upright position.

Warning
OCUflash® does not affect concentration when driving, operating machinery or working at heights, which requires increased attention. However, after application to the conjunctival sac, temporary blurred vision may occur, therefore activities requiring increased attention can only be carried out after this temporary effect has passed. In case of accidental ingestion by a child, seek medical advice.
It is not recommended to wear soft contact lenses (especially hydrophilic ones) at the same time as applying the product. If possible, during application it is advisable not to wear hard contact lenses or to remove them before application and put them back in at least 20 minutes later.
