CINARIX 55 MG X 60 TABLET.
Cynarix is an herbal medicinal product that is available without a prescription and is a choleretic that stimulates bile secretion.
The artichoke leaf extract in Cynarix stimulates the formation of bile and increases the secretion of pancreatic enzymes necessary for digestion.
It is indicated for digestive disorders (dyspeptic complaints and flatulence) after consuming fatty foods or difficult-to-digest foods, especially in functional disorders of the biliary tract. Follow-up treatment after surgical removal of the gallbladder. Supportive treatment for mild forms of high lipid levels in the serum (blood). Supportive treatment for the main treatment of biliary-hepatic dysfunction.
Do not take Cynarix coated tablets if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to artichoke leaf extract, other plants of the Asteraceae family or to any of the other ingredients of Cynarix coated tablets.
Also if you suffer from
severe liver dysfunction,
blockage of the bile ducts,
gallbladder empyema (a disorder caused by the gallbladder filling with pus).
Take special care with Cynarix coated tablets
Consult a doctor if the condition worsens or if the expected result is not achieved after 14 days.
Due to insufficient pediatric studies, Cynarix coated tablets should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
Taking other medicines: There are no known drug interactions so far. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Taking Cynarix coated tablets with food and drinks: There are no known interactions so far.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine. There are no studies on the effects of artichoke leaf extract on pregnant women. It is not known whether the active substances of artichoke leaf extract pass into breast milk. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, Cynarix coated tablets should be taken with caution. Your doctor should assess the risk/benefit ratio.
Driving and using machines Cynarix coated tablets do not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Cynarix coated tablets This medicine contains lactose and sucrose. If you have an intolerance to some sugars, do not take Cynarix coated tablets without first consulting your doctor.
Possible side effects Like all medicines, Cynarix coated tablets can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If any of the side effects become serious, or you notice any other side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist. In very rare cases, mild gastrointestinal disorders (mild diarrhea, upper abdominal pain, nausea, heartburn) have been observed.
Storage instructions Store below 30°C. Store in the original packaging. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use Cynarix coated tablets after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Active ingredient: artichoke leaf extract 1 coated tablet contains 55 mg of artichoke leaf extract (Cynarae scolymus L, folium, 4-6:1, extractant: purified water) in the form of a dry extract, standardized as not less than 3.0% caffeoylquinoline acids.
The other ingredients are: 58.6 mg lactose, 106.6 mg sucrose, maltodextrin, silicon dioxide, colloidal anhydrous, celactose (cellulose, lactose), copovidone, crospovidone, talc, magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide (E 171), gum arabic, methylcellulose, calcium carbonate, povidone, glycerol 85%, dyes (Indigotine E 132 and Quinoline Yellow E 104), eudragit E 12.5, wax.
Always take Cynarix coated tablets exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Unless your doctor has prescribed otherwise, the usual dose is: Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. Take Cynarix coated tablets immediately before meals, with a non-alcoholic liquid (e.g. a glass of water). No trials have been conducted in children. Cynarix coated tablets can be taken for as long as your doctor or pharmacist recommends. You should consult a doctor if your symptoms do not improve after two weeks of treatment.
If you take more Cynarix coated tablets than you should: There are no reports of overdose.
If you forget to take Cynarix coated tablets Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
