Pregnacare Conception delivers 400 mcg of folic acid, the exact amount recommended for all women trying to conceive. Taking folic acid improves the overall folate status of the expectant mother. Low folic acid levels in the body are a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the growing fetus. Folic acid can be taken throughout pregnancy because it supports the growth of maternal tissue during this period and is involved in the processes of cell division.

Recommended intake:
 
One tablet daily during or immediately after the main meal. Drink with a full glass of water or other cold beverage. Pregnacare Conception should only be taken on a full stomach. Do not chew.
