DONA POWDER / DONA SACHET X 20 indications:
DONA for the treatment of osteoarthritis/ DONA is a medicinal product that contains glucosamine sulfate and is used to treat the symptoms of osteoarthritis, e.g. pain and stiffness of the joints. Dona also improves the biosynthesis of hyaluronic acid and collagen, protects the surface of the joints from destruction, maintains the elasticity and mobility of the joints and reduces pain and discomfort in the joints. Glucosamine sulfate, the main ingredient in Dona, is a natural substance /aminosaccharide/, a salt of the natural aminosaccharide glucosamine, which is normally present in the human body. It helps to improve the condition of the joints in the human body - it stops the processes of destruction of the articular cartilage and significantly limits them. In addition, glucosamine sulfate has a wonderful anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. It affects the inflammatory processes in the joints, which gradually subside, and at the same time relieves joint pain, which is more characteristic of movement.
Donna belongs to a group of medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Dosage and administration:
Always take DONA exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults and the elderly:
The contents of one sachet (dissolved in a glass of water) should be taken once a day, preferably during a meal.
Glucosamine is not indicated for the treatment of acute pain. Relief of symptoms (especially pain relief) may not be felt until several weeks of treatment, and in some cases longer. If no relief of symptoms is felt after 2-3 months, continued treatment with glucosamine should be reconsidered.
Children and adolescents:
Glucosamine should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Patients with impaired renal and/or hepatic function:
No dosage recommendation can be given in patients with impaired renal and/or hepatic function, as clinical studies have not been conducted.
Composition:
The active substance is glucosamine sulphate. One sachet contains 1,884 mg of crystalline glucosamine sulphate, equivalent to 1,500 mg of glucosamine sulphate and 384 mg of sodium chloride.
The other ingredients are: aspartame, sorbitol, citric acid, carbovax 4000.
