Lamisil 1% cream is an antifungal that kills fungi that cause skin infections. Lamisil 1% cream is intended for the treatment of fungus on the feet (tinea pedis), in the groin area (tinea cruris), on the body (ringworm). Lamisil 1% cream is also used to treat yeast infections such as candidiasis (intertrigo) and pityriasis versicolor (multicolored lichen). Always read the leaflet before use! Suitable for: adults and children over 12 years of age Active ingredient: Terbinafine 1%. Dosage: • Fungus on the feet - 1 time per day for 1 week • Fungus in the groin area and on the body - 1 time per day for 1 week. Cutaneous candidiasis (intertrigo) – 1-2 times daily for 1 to 2 weeks. Instructions for use: - Pierce the protective membrane (if the tube is sealed) with the pointed part of the top of the cap • Clean and dry the infected area and the skin around it, then wash your hands. • Unscrew the cap and squeeze a small amount of the cream onto the warts. Remove the cap from the bottle. • Screw the cap on the tube. • Apply enough cream to apply a thin layer to the affected area and the skin around it. • Rub gently. • Wash your hands after touching the infected skin to avoid spreading the infection to yourself or others. If you are treating an infection in areas where the skin folds, you can apply a gauze bandage, especially at night. In this case, use a new, clean gauze pad each time you apply the cream. When using Lamisil cream, the skin condition improves after a few days. Complete recovery of the affected skin, once the infection has been cleared, takes longer – up to 4 weeks. Lamisil cream will continue to work after you have completed the full course of treatment. Although you will not use the cream after that, the improvement should continue. If you do not notice an improvement in your symptoms within 2 weeks of starting treatment, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Keep the affected area clean by washing it regularly. Dry carefully, without rubbing, by blotting gently. Try not to scratch the affected area, even though it may itch, so as not to cause further complications and delay the healing process or spread the infection. Since these infections can be transmitted to other people, use individual towels and clothes, washing them frequently to prevent re-infection. Warnings: Lamisil cream should only be applied externally. Do not use it in the mouth or swallow it. Avoid any contact with the eyes. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with cold water. Contraindications: allergy to any of the ingredients listed in the leaflet (see the list of excipients at the beginning of the leaflet). In this case, consult your doctor or pharmacist, because Lamisil cream is not suitable for you. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Lamisil cream if you are pregnant. Terbinafme hydrochloride - the active ingredient of Lamisil cream, passes into breast milk, so it should not be used during breastfeeding. The baby should not be allowed to have contact with treated areas of the skin, including the breasts. Lamisil cream should not be used in children under 12 years of age. Athlete's foot usually affects both feet, but not always. It most often appears between the toes. It can also be on the bend of the foot, the bottom or other part of the feet. The most common type of athlete's foot causes cracking or peeling of the skin, and slight swelling, blisters or sores are also possible. However, if you have a fungal infection of the nails (fungus on or under the nail), discoloration and deformation (thickening, crumbling), you should see a doctor because this type of fungal infection is not treated with Lamisil cream. Lamisil tablets are prescribed for nail fungus. Fungus in the groin area appears on the inner thighs - the groin area, usually on both sides, with one side often more affected than the other. It can spread further, towards the back or up towards the stomach. It also appears in areas of the body where the skin folds (the folds), especially if they are moist - the folds under the breasts or armpits or other similar areas. The rash has a clearly defined border and may also have blisters. It is itchy. Fungus on the body (ringworm) can appear anywhere, but is most often found on the head, neck, face or hands. They usually look like a red rash in the shape of a circle, and may be flaky and itchy. Cutaneous candidiasis (intertrigo) occurs in areas of the body where the skin folds and sweats (the folds under the breasts or armpits). They usually affect older or obese patients, or patients suffering from other diseases, such as diabetes. They cause redness, itching, peeling. Pityriasis versicolor (multicolored lichen) appears on the skin as flaky areas that turn into white spots due to the loss of skin pigment. The spots stand out mainly in the summer, as the skin normally darkens around them. They are mainly observed on the torso, neck and arms and may recur for months, especially with warm weather and sweating. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting to use the cream if you are not sure about the causes of your infection. Before using Lamisil cream, tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines - with or without a prescription, that you are taking or have recently taken. Do not apply other medicines to the treated area. When using Lamisil cream, the skin condition improves after a few days. Full recovery of the affected skin, once the infection has been removed, is achieved longer - up to 4 weeks. Try not to scratch the affected area, even though it may be itchy, as this can cause further complications and delay the healing process or spread the infection. Since these infections can be transmitted to other people, use a separate towel and clothing, and wash them frequently, to prevent re-infection.
