Acik cream 5% for herpes x2 g Sandoz

ACIC CREAM / ACIC CREME 2 gr.
Indications:
ACIK cream is a medicinal product used to treat viral infections (virostatic). The cream relieves the unpleasant pain and annoying itching when herpes blisters appear in the mouth (recurrent herpes labialis).
Dosage and administration:
ACIK cream should be applied in a thin layer to the infected areas of the skin 5 times a day every 4 hours.
Composition:
Active ingredient: acyclovir – 1 g of cream contains 50 mg of acyclovir.
Excipients: macroglycerol stearates, dimethicone, cetyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, white petrolatum, propylene glycol, purified water.
Warnings: 
Acic cream for oral herpes should be applied using a cotton swab, which is covered with an amount of cream that corresponds to the size of the infected area of skin. Care should be taken to apply the cream not only to areas with visible herpes (bubbles, swelling, redness), but also to adjacent areas of skin. If the cream is applied by hand, hands should be washed thoroughly before and after application to avoid further infection of the affected skin area (e.g. by bacteria) or by spreading viruses to the infected mucous membrane and areas of skin. 
To achieve the best possible treatment result, the cream should be applied at the first symptoms of herpes infection (burning, itching, feeling of tension and redness). 
The duration of treatment for herpes simplex infections is 5 days. In some cases, treatment is continued until the blisters crust or disappear. However, the duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days. 
Do not use Acik cream if you are hypersensitive to acyclovir or any of the product's excipients, as well as to valacyclovir. 
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using any medicine.
