Composition: Hawthorn leaf and flower/ Crategi folium cum florae Indications: Neurogenic disturbances of cardiac activity after physical and mental stress in a healthy heart. Application: 20-30 drops in a teaspoon or on a lump of sugar 2-3 times a day for a maximum of 6 weeks. What Hawthorn Tincture is and what it is used for The pharmacological effects are associated with the rich content of biologically active ingredients (flavonoids, proanthocyanidins, vitamins - C, B1 and minerals - K+, Ca++, Mg++). Hawthorn Tincture has a cardiotonic effect (improves cardiac activity), reduces coronary and peripheral vascular resistance. The antihypertensive effect is associated with a mild diuretic effect, relaxation of the smooth muscles of the blood vessels and blocking angiotensin-converting enzyme. Hawthorn Tincture is used for neurogenic cardiac disorders after mental and physical exertion in a healthy heart. 2. Before using Hawthorn Tincture Do not use Hawthorn Tincture in case of: • Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. • Children under 12 years of age. • Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Take special care when using Hawthorn Tincture Due to the ethanol content (up to 68 percent V/V or up to 0.3 g per dose) it may pose a danger to those suffering from liver disease, alcoholism, epilepsy, brain damage, as well as to pregnant women, nursing mothers and children. Simultaneous use with cardiac glycosides and beta blockers is not recommended (supervision by a doctor is required). A doctor's consultation is required to reassess the treatment if: symptoms do not respond for more than 6 weeks; with swelling in the legs, pain in the heart area spreading to the left arm, stomach and back; shortness of breath. The medicinal product can be combined with valerian drops.
