WHAT KETOSAL, MEDELICATED SHAMPOO IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FORThis medicinal product is used for the treatment and prevention of infections caused by the fungus Malassezia furfur, such as dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis and pityriasis versicolor (pityriasis versicolor, multi-colored lichen).2. BEFORE USING KETOSAL, TREATED SHAMPOO Do not use KETOSAL, TREATED SHAMPOO if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ketoconazole or any of the other ingredients of KETOSAL, TREATED SHAMPOO. When administering ketoconazole to patients using topical corticosteroids for a long time, their withdrawal should be gradual over 2-3 weeks. Avoid getting the shampoo in the eyes; in such cases, rinse the eyes thoroughly with water. The simultaneous use of KETOSAL, TREATED SHAMPOO with other medicinal products for topical use (corticosteroids, antibiotics, etc.) is not recommended. For external use only! Pregnancy and breastfeeding The use of the shampoo is not contraindicated, as it is practically not absorbed, but requires increased caution. Driving and operating machinery KETOSAL, TREATED SHAMPOO does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery. 3. HOW TO USE KETOSAL, TREATED SHAMPOO Always use KETOSAL, TREATED SHAMPOO exactly as your doctor has told you or as described below. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is: For pityriasis versicolor (pityriasis versicolor, multi-colored lichen), the shampoo is applied once a day to the affected areas of the skin and washed off after 3-5 minutes. The course of treatment is 5 days. A preventive course is carried out at the beginning of summer - once a day for 3 days. For dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis, it is applied 2 times a week for 2-4 weeks. The shampoo is applied to damp hair, rubbed in to reach the skin and left for 3-5 minutes, then washed off with water. For prophylaxis, it is applied once a week or once every 2 weeks. If you have any additional questions related to the use of this product, please ask your doctor or pharmacist. The use of KETOSAL, medicated shampoo is not recommended for children under 12 years of age, due to the lack of data on the safety and efficacy of the product in this group of patients. 4. POSSIBLE ADVERSE REACTIONS In order to achieve the expected therapeutic effect of the drug and to avoid the occurrence of adverse drug reactions to the maximum extent, it is necessary to strictly adhere to the recommended dosages and method of administration. Like all drugs, KETOSAL, medicated shampoo can cause adverse reactions, although not everyone gets them. KETOSAL, medicated shampoo is characterized by very good tolerance, but in some cases, hypersensitivity reactions may occur during use - burning, itching, skin irritation; oiliness or dryness of the hair, increased hair loss (transient). In some cases, a change in hair color may be observed (in patients with chemically treated and damaged hair). If any of the side effects become serious, or you notice other side effects not described in this leaflet, please inform your doctor or pharmacist. 5. HOW TO STORE KETOSAL, TREATED SHAMPOO Store below 25°C. Protect from light. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Shelf life: 2 /two/ years from the date of manufacture. Shelf life after opening the package: 3 /three/ months. Do not use KETOSAL, TREATED SHAMPOO after the expiration date stated on the package. The expiration date corresponds to the last day of the month indicated. Medicines should not be thrown away via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer need. These measures will help protect the environment. 6. ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONWhat does KETOSAL, medicated shampoo contain:100.0 g of medicated shampoo: contains 2 g of ketoconazole. The composition also includes the following excipients: sodium lauryl ethoxy sulfate, disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, coconut acid monoethanolamide, hydrolyzed collagen, sodium edetate, sodium chloride, dye E 124, flavors, purified water.
