CLARINASE / CLARINASE Tablets description:Clarinaze contains the active substances loratadine and pseudoephedrine.Clarinaze relieves symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), such as sneezing, itchy or runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, accompanied by nasal congestion.CLARINAZE / CLARINASE Tablets use:Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.Adults and children over 12 years of age: one tablet twice a day with a glass of water, regardless of food intake. The duration of treatment should be as short as possible (up to 10 days) and not continue after the symptoms have disappeared. CLARINASE Tablets composition: Each tablet contains loratadine 5 mg and pseudoephedrine 120 mg. Precautions: Do not take Clarinase: - if you are allergic to loratadine, pseudoephedrine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine; - if you are taking medicines for heart disease or high blood pressure; - if you suffer from angle-closure glaucoma; - if you have difficulty urinating or a blockage in the urinary tract; - if you have high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease; - if you have had a stroke; - if you have hyperthyroidism; - if you are taking a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAO inhibitor) or have discontinued treatment with one in the last 14 days. Consult a doctor before use if: - you are 60 years of age or older; - you have diabetes mellitus; - you have a stenosing peptic ulcer (an ulcer that causes a narrowing of the stomach, small intestine and esophagus); - you have a bowel obstruction; - you have bronchospasm; - you have kidney, liver or bladder problems; - you are about to have surgery; - you are taking alpha-methyldopa, mecalimine, reserpine, guanethidine; - you are taking decongestants, appetite suppressants; - you are taking ergot alkaloids; - you are taking linezolid, bromocriptine, cabergoline, lisuride or pergolide; - if you are taking antacids Clarinase should not be taken by children under 12 years of age. Composition Active substance: each CLARINASE tablet contains 5 mg Loratadine in the tablet shell and 120 mg Pseudoephedrine sulfate, distributed equally between the shell and the tablet core. The two active ingredients of the shell are released fast, and the release of the decongestant from the core is slow and lasts several hours. Excipients: Lactose, corn starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, acacia, calcium sulfate, titanium dioxide, white wax. Pharmaceutical form Modified-release tablets. The antihistamine relieves symptoms of allergies and colds by blocking the action of the substance "histamine", which is formed in the human body. The decongestant helps to unblock the nose. Indications > CLARINASE tablets are indicated for the relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis and colds such as stuffy nose, sneezing, nasal discharge, itching and tearing; > CLARINASE tablets are recommended when the combination of the antihistamine effect of Loratadíne and the decongestant effect of Pseudoephedrine sulfate is desired. Contraindications > CLARINASE tablets are contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to them or to any of their ingredients. > Tell your doctor if you are taking o Medicinal products for the treatment of heart disease; o Medicinal products regulating blood pressure; o MAO inhibitors or if you have discontinued MAO inhibitor therapy 14 days ago. > CLARINASE is contraindicated in glaucoma; > In case of urination disorders or blockage of the urinary tract; > In case of high blood pressure; > Diseases of the cardiovascular system; > In case of hyperfunction (increased function) of the thyroid gland. Adverse drug reactions In addition to the therapeutic effect, the medicinal product may also cause some side effects. Although not all side effects will necessarily occur, if some of them occur, medical treatment may be necessary. Some of the side effects may disappear during treatment. Tell your doctor if any of the side effects listed below do not disappear, if they bother you or if you notice any others. Most side effects associated with taking CLARINASE are mild or moderate. Headache, nervousness or dry mouth may occur. Sometimes insomnia and loss of appetite may occur. Dizziness, nausea, fatigue, muscle cramps, agitation, cough, nosebleeds, sore throat or hair loss, rash or severe allergic reaction and liver disorders have been reported rarely. Drug and other interactions Tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines, as well as if you have recently stopped taking them. Treatment with CLARINASE should be discontinued 48 hours before skin testing procedures, as it may affect the test results. Use during pregnancy and lactation The safety of CLARINASE in pregnancy has not been sufficiently established. Therefore, the medicinal product should not be used during pregnancy and lactation. Use in pediatrics CLARINASE should not be given to children under 12 years of age. Special warnings Before starting treatment with CLARINASE, tell your doctor if: > you are pregnant or breastfeeding; > you are 60 years of age or older, as the elderly are more sensitive to the effects of this medicinal product; > you are allergic to foods or other substances; > you have eye diseases (glaucoma), diabetes mellitus, prostate hypertrophy, liver, kidney or bladder diseases; > you are taking digitalis (a medicinal product used to treat certain heart diseases), as a change in dosage may be necessary. Effect on the ability to drive and use machines CLARINASE in the recommended dosage does not cause drowsiness, reduced attention and does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery. In case of drowsiness, do not drive or operate machinery until it disappears. Dosage and method of administration: The dosage and duration of treatment are determined by the attending physician. Do not take CLARINASE more or more often than recommended in the leaflet. Adults and children over 12 years of age: one CLARINASE tablet twice a day, before or during a meal. The tablet is taken with water, swallowed whole, without chewing or breaking. Overdose: In case of overdose, inform your attending physician immediately. If you miss taking CLARINASE on time, do so as soon as possible, then follow the recommended treatment regimen. Do not take two tablets at once. Storage: Store at a temperature below 25°C. Protect from excessive moisture. Shelf life: 24 months (2 years). Do not use after the expiry date, indicated on the packaging. Keep out of reach of children. Packaging Blister of 10 tablets.
